Heat pump installation with rebate help, start to finish. You press submit. The National Heat Pump Rebate will pay $2,000, or up to $10,000 for households below the median income.
A heat pump needs more than a mechanical connection. A garage heater needs more than a gas line. A renovation needs trades that work together.
Gencon Contracting brings twelve service lines together under one contract. Our commercial construction experience informs the same coordinated approach we bring to homes: define the scope, line up the trades, and take responsibility for the finished work.

A little clarity
Good questions. Straight answers.
Is there a rebate for heat pumps?
Yes. The federal government announced the National Heat Pump Rebate on October 8, 2026. It will pay $2,000, or up to $10,000 for households below the median income. It is not open yet, and we offer rebate help, start to finish. You press submit.
Does Gencon install both heat pumps and garage heaters?
Yes. Gencon Contracting installs air-source heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and gas garage heaters in Calgary. Our scope can include the mechanical, gas, electrical, and controls work needed to complete the installation.
Can a heat pump work through a Calgary winter?
A cold-climate heat pump can provide heating in freezing weather, but capacity depends on the equipment and outdoor temperature. We assess your home’s heat loss, existing furnace, and backup-heating needs before recommending a system.
What is included in a garage heater estimate?
The estimate should identify the heater, mounting, gas supply, venting, electrical connection, thermostat, applicable permits, and commissioning. Your garage size, insulation, and existing services determine the final scope.
How much will an installation cost?
An accurate price needs a property-specific scope. Equipment size, installation access, gas or electrical upgrades, and the work needed to connect the system all affect cost. Send your project details to request an estimate with the inclusions explained.
Do you still take on renovations and commercial projects?
Yes. Home comfort is part of our wider contracting work. Gencon also coordinates commercial construction, tenant improvements, residential renovations, plumbing, electrical, building systems, and finishes under one contract.
